Ceres is proud to promote its early careers programmes, offering various opportunities through work experience, apprenticeships, internships and a graduate scheme.

Each programme is designed to ensure that the experience gained is valuable and inclusive to all students and employees.

Our programmes

Apprenticeships

Four places will be offered annually for the 42-month scheme – Level 4 Engineering Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship Standard – incorporating 12 core modules of study and aligning to either the Higher National Certificate (“HNC”) in Engineering or the HNC in Manufacturing Operations.

Industrial Placements

Ceres offers paid internships for a defined period to students still in full-time education. These are closely supervised by senior members of the Ceres team, providing experienced-based learning and helping to build professional skills and industry knowledge within a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Graduates

Each year, Ceres offers engineering graduates employment through a two-year rotation programme before transitioning to their first permanent position. Ceres has engaged the Institution of Mechanical Engineers’ (“IMechE”) training services to support its graduates with a range of continuous development courses. Graduates are assigned a mentor who guides them through the Monitored Professional Development Scheme (“MPDS”) to Chartership.
