Tackling climate change is what drives us; we are committed to enabling a net zero world through our technology, and our aim is to ensure our sustainability strategy keeps pace with this ambition.
Ceres aspires to have sustainability considerations embedded within our operations – from our own research and development and engagement with the supply chain and supporting partners to scale the technology, through to ownership and end-of-life of products and systems utilising our technology – helping us to maintain a sustainable business and make a positive impact on those we work with both directly and indirectly.

Ceres has committed to near-term emissions reduction targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (“SBTi”). We have committed to reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 42% by 2030 from a 2022 base year, and have also committed to reduce Scope 3 GHG emissions by 53% per million GBP gross profit by 2030 from a 2022 base year.
Ceres’ purpose is fully aligned with the ambitions for the global energy transition. To support all our sustainability work, we have developed an increasingly robust data collection and management system, maturing our emissions analysis to use more detailed characterisation of emissions factors by spend, superseding our previous spend-based estimation. We continue to develop our technology to improve robustness, efficiency and cost without compromising its sustainable design.
