Ceres launches 2024 Reimagine clean energy competition
Following a successful first two years, Ceres has announced the launch of the 2024 Reimagine competition designed to encourage secondary school age pupils to explore the synergies between the creative arts and science-based subjects.
Ceres is a world-leading developer of clean energy technology and is passionate about encouraging and supporting future talent for the sector. The competition is held in collaboration with STEM Learning UK and is backed by sponsorship from The Tallow Chandlers Company, culminating in a final awards ceremony June 2024 for the three final teams.
A prestigious judging panel has been appointed and Ceres is now laying down the gauntlet to schools to develop up to three minutes of creative animation exploring exciting and original scientific concepts that could be implemented to support the net zero mission. The judges assess entries on level of creativity; depth of research; and how far ideas can have an impact on climate change.
“When we started out on our Reimagine journey we had no idea what to expect but the effort, enthusiasm and commitment the school children have shown has really impressed the judging panel over the past two years.”
“As a company, Ceres is used to pushing innovation in the name of tackling climate change on a daily basis and we believe we have a responsibility to inspire and encourage the next generation of innovators and scientists. We have an incredible team of STEM ambassadors within Ceres who are all committed to supporting pupils on their Reimagine journey, so we now look forward to opening the competition and inviting entries.”
